1991-1992 Cadillac DeVille Car Key Fob and Remote Programming Instructions:

Locate the Data Link Connector (DLC) underneath the driver’s side dashboard. Use the figure as a map for your DL ( They are not lettered on your vehicle.) The view is looking straight into the cavities of the DLC.
Connect cavity G with cavity A in the DLC with a fused jumper wire. Your vehicle will respond by locking and unlocking the door locks within 2 seconds.
Press any button on first remote to be programmed. Locks will lock and unlock verifying remote was programmed.
Press any button on second remote to be programmed if applicable. Locks will lock and unlock to verify remote was programmed.
Remove jumper wire and test remote or remotes..

1994-1995 Cadillac DeVille Car Key Fob and Remote Programming Instructions:

Ignition in on position….engine not started.
Locate black wire coming from the trunk pull down assembly in trunk
Ground this wire….locks will cycle lock and unlock within a few seconds
to acknowledge programming mode
Press the unlock button on remote 1 twice within 20 seconds
Locks will cycle lock and unlock within a few seconds to acknowledge
programming
At this time press the unlock button on remote 2 twice within 20 seconds
Locks will cycle again to acknowledge programming
If you do not have 2 remotes use remote 1 two times.
Both procedures must be followed or you may cause your remote system
to become inoperable.
This entire procedure needs to be started within 30 seconds of grounding
wire or you will have to start all over.

1996-1997 Cadillac DeVille Car Key Fob and Remote Programming Instructions:

Use these instructions if your Deville has an Analog Instrument Cluster

1. Press OFF and WARM buttons on Climate Control Panel (CCP) simultaneously.
(Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) will light all telltales, then go blank) System is now in diagnostic mode.
Press PASSENGER COOLER button until “RFA” is displayed, then press FAN UP.
If “RFA DATA” is displayed, press FAN DOWN.
If “RFA OVERRIDE” is displayed, press FAN UP.

2. If “RFA 500 NO OVERRIDE is displayed, press FAN DOWN.
If “RFA 501 PROGRAM FOB” is displayed, Press FAN UP.

3. IPC will show “0″ on right side of Driver Information Center (DIC) display.
Press warmer button on climate control unit until “99″ is displayed.

4. Press and hold TRUNK button on transmitter. While holding TRUNK button, press LOCK button and hold for one
second. Hold both buttons for a total of 3 seconds. Locks cycle when programming is complete (if remote is not
programmed within 30 seconds after entering “99″ override display, system will default and you must begin again at
step 2.

5. To program a second remote, press FAN DOWN button until “RFA 502 PROGRAM FOB #2″ is displayed, then press
FAN UP. Repeat step 4.

To exit system, press AUTO, MODE UP, MODE DOWN, or RESET.

2000-2003 Cadillac DeVille Car Key Fob and Remote Programming Instructions:

Program only when system malfunction, key added or replaced

There is no onboard programming procedure for Cadillac Deville 2000-2003. These vehicles requires special equipment be connected to the vehicle to program the keyless remote. Please contact your dealer or automotive locksmith.

Immobilizer How – Without Original Key

Switch ignition ON with master key to be programmed
System LED will illuminate
After approximately 10 minutes system LED will switch OFF
Switch ignition OFF
Wait 5 seconds
Switch ignition ON
System LED will illuminate
After approximately 10 minutes system LED will switch OFF
Switch ignition OFF
Wait 5 seconds
Switch ignition ON
System LED will illuminate
After Approximately 10 minutes system LED will switch OFF
Switch ignition OFF
Wait 5 seconds
Start engine
New master key now programmed
Erase stored trouble codes
Replacement parts caan also be programmed using diagnostic equipment
NOTE: The vehicle learns the key transponder information on the ignition switch transition from OFF to CRANK. Ignition must be turned OFF before attempting to start the vehicle

Immobilizer How – With Original Master Key

Insert master key into ignition switch
Switch ignition ON
Switch ignition OFF
Remove master key
Within 10 seconds insert new key
Switch ignition ON
New key now programmed
NOTE: A maximum of 10 keys can be programmed using the master key

Immobilizer How – With Original PK3 master key

Verify key to be programmed has PK3 stampped on it
Insert original master key into ignition switch
Start engine
Switch ignition OFF
Remove master key
Within 10 seconds insert new key
Switch ignition ON
New key now programmed

The DeVille was originally a trim level and later a model of General Motors’ Cadillac marque. The first car to bear the name was the 1949 Coupe DeVille, a prestige trim level of the Series 62 luxury coupe. After the Fleetwood was dropped from the Cadillac lineup the DeVille became the largest Cadillac sedan. The last model to be formally known as a DeVille was the 2005 Cadillac DeVille, a full-size sedan, the largest car in the Cadillac model range at the time. The next year, the DeVille was officially renamed DTS (an abbreviation standing for DeVille Touring Sedan, itself a trim level on earlier models).
