Only program key when added or replaced or on system malfunction

Without smart entry system: Remote transmitter can only be programmed using diagnostic equipment

NOTE: Existing remote transmitter programming will be erased

  • Obtain and reprogram all remote transmitterNOTE: A maximum of 8 remote transmitters can be programmed

How – with Smart entry system an done programmed remote transmitter available. NOTE: A maximum of 5 remote transmitters can be programmed

  • Obtain all remote transmittersNOTE: Switch ignition OFF
  • Place all programmed remote transmitters in the cup holder
  • Insert key of the unrecognized remote transmitter into the driver’s door lock
  • Turn key to unlock position 5 times within 10 seconds
    • Driver information center will display READY FOR REMOTE $2, 3, 4, or 5
  • Place the unrecognized remote transmitter into the remote transmitter pocket with buttons facing up
  • Press ignition switch
  • When remote transmitter is programmed, the DIC will show it is ready for next remote transmitter
  • Remove remote transmitter from remote transmitter pocket and press the UNLOCK button
  • To program additional remote transmitters, repeat previews steps starting with inserting next remote transmitter key into the driver’s door lockNOTE: To exit the programming mode, press and hold the ignition button for 10 seconds

  • turn key to unlock position 5 times within 10 seconds
    • Driver information center will display REMOTE LEARN PENDING, PLEASE WAIT
  • Wait 10 minutes until DIC displays PRESS ENGINE START BUTTON TO LEARN
  • Press ignition switch
    • Driver information center will display REMOTE LEARN PENDING, PLEASE WAIT
  • Press ignition switch
    • Driver information center will display REMOTE LEARN PENDING, PLEASE WAIT
  • Wait 10 minutes until DIC display PRESSS ENGINE START BUTTON TO LEARN
  • Press ignition switch
    • Driver information center will display REMOTE LEARN PEDNING, PLEASE WAIT
  • Wait 10 minutes until DIC displays PRESS ENGINE START BUTTON TO LEARN
  • Press ignition switch
    • Deriver information center will display REMOTE LEARN PENDING, PLEASE WAIT
  • All previously programmed remote transmitters are now erased
    • DIC will display READY FOR REMOTE #1
  • Place the unrecognized remote transmitter into remote transmitter pocket with buttons facing up
  • Press the ignition switch
  • When remote transmitter is programmed, the DIC will show it is ready for next remote transmitter
  • Remove remote transmitter from remote transmitter pocket and press the UNLOCK button
  • To program additional remote transmitters, repeat preview steps starting with inserting next remote transmitters into the remote transmitter pocket
  • NOTE: To exit the programming mode, press and hold teh ignition button for 10 seconds

The Buick Verano is a front engine, front-wheel drive layout, four-door, five passenger, compact sedan manufactured at the General Motors Orion Assembly plant in Orion Township, Michigan. The Verano debuted at the North American International Auto Show on January 10, 2011 during a preview of Buick’s then upcoming 2012 model. It is the first compact marketed by Buick in the United States since the 1997 Buick Skylark.

Verano is Spanish for summer.
