Program only when system malfunction, key added or replaced.
Immobilizer
How – master key available
- Note: Verify that new key has PK3 stamped on it
- Switch ignition ON and start engine
- Switch ignition OFF and remove key
- Within 5 seconds insert new key
- Switch ignition ON
- New key now programmed
- Note: A maximum of 10 keys can be programmed using the master key
How – master key not available
- To program a new master key proceed as follows
- Switch ignition ON with master key to be programmed
- STARTING DISABLED DUE TO THEFT message will be displayed on the Driver information center(DIC)
- After approximately 10 minutes STARTING DISABLED DUE TO THEFT message will switch OFF
- Switch ignition OFF
- Wait 5 seconds
- Switch ignition ON
- STARTIN DISABLED DUE TO THEFT message will be displayed on the Driver information center (DIC)
- After approximately 10 minutes STARTIN DISABLED DUE TO THEFT message will switch OFF
- Switch ignition OFF
- Wait 5 seconds
- Switch ignition ON
- STARTING DISABLED DUE TO THEFT message will be displayed on the Driver information cencer (DIC)
- After approximately 10 minutes STARTING DISABLED DUE TO THEFT message will switch OFF
- Switch ignition OFF
- Wait 5 seconds
- Start engine
- New master key now programmed
- With a scan tool, clear any digital trouble codes (DTC’s)
- Replacement parts can also be programmed using diagnostic equipment
- NOTE: Replacement keys have to be cut using ignition lock number, or using original as pattern
